Here are a few home maintenance items to tackle this spring.
Spring is finally here! That means it’s time to get outside and enjoy the increasingly nice weather. It’s also a great time to take care of some spring cleaning and get your home looking its best. Here are three tasks you should check off your spring to-do list:
- Compact your soil. Spring is infamous for flooding, which can damage your yard and home. Adding compacted soil can keep your plants steady and prevent your soil from running off.
- Clean your doors and windows. Who doesn’t want natural light coming through the windows in the spring? If your windows and doors have stains and dust, clean them off. You don’t even need expensive cleaners to do it; simply mix some mild vinegar and water in a spray bottle.
- Move wood away from your home. Wood piles are a favorite spot for insects to gather, nest, and breed. Moving your woodpiles away from your house may encourage fewer bugs to make your home their own.
